This will be a fun celebration of community and backyard/kitchen gardening. Home gardeners are encouraged to enter their produce in the contest to win great prizes!

Many contests will be available. Entry forms are below for each.

Pepper Display -- Create a picture or design using different colors, shapes, sizes of fresh peppers There are countless varieties of peppers---see how many you can find to create a one of kind display.

Chili Pepper Garland -- Easy to make and with your creativity it will add a new twist to a traditional garland. (Full directions included)

Pepper Wreath or Vase -- Create a wreath or vase design using peppers as the feature element. You can incorporate herbs, flowers, grasses, vegetables any other locally harvested plant material into your creation.

Mr. or Ms. Potato Head -- Decorate the largest potato you can find with peppers----pepper hair, eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. (directions included)

Fresh Salsa -- Entry form must be submitted in advance. See form for details on health department regulations.

Prizes include: gift card for Open Harvest, membership in the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, one month free for Community CROPS CSA and more!

Lots of live music, chef demos and more going on all day.
