46th Street Community Garden
Our garden at the corner of 46th Street and Pioneers Boulevard is Lincoln's biggest site at two-thirds of an acre. A great diversity of gardeners from Cameroon, Sudan, Bosnia, and Brazil, as well as other countries, garden at this site. They all have their own methods and preferred vegetables.
We have seven chickens living at this garden in a chicken coop. They eat surplus produce and insects.
A perennial flower border, planted in 2005 by Master Gardeners, surrounds the garden, click here for photos of it.
